BKS Blok Cepu, consisting of PT Asri Dharma Sejahtera, PT Blora Patragas Hulu, PT Petrogas Jatim Utama Cendana and PT Sarana Patra Hulu Cepu, planted 1,000 trees in the forest of SMPN 2 Purwosari school on 15 October 2023.

The Board of Directors of the Cepu Block Cooperation Agency carried out the planting of 1,000 trees. In addition to planting 1,000 trees, the Cepu Block Cooperation Agency also handed over 4,600 tree seedlings. 1,000 tree seedlings were given to Bubulan Subdistrict, 1,000 tree seedlings to Ngambon Village, 800 tree seedlings to Kacangan Village, 600 tree seedlings to Karangmangu Village, 400 tree seedlings to Sengon Village, and school forest support facilities to SMPN 2 Purwosari.

The planting of 1,000 trees and the provision of tree seedlings are part of a series of social events organised by BKS Blok Cepu, which this year took place in Bojonegoro. The programme is implemented in support of sustainable environmental actions to reduce carbon emissions.

The Head of the PI Blok Cepu Cooperation Agency, Suko Hartono, expressed the agency's commitment to the success of environmental conservation efforts, particularly through tree planting.

‘The upstream oil and gas industry is not only about exploration, but also about how to generate benefits for the community and the environment,’ he said.

This BKS social event was held over two days. In addition to tree planting and seedling handover activities, there was also another agenda, namely BKS Goes to School and Campus, to share information about the oil and gas industry with students at schools around the Cepu Block oil and gas exploration area.

About Us

BKS is a forum for collaboration between four regionally-owned enterprises (BUMD) that hold a 10% participating interest (PI) in the Cepu Block Working Area, which is regulated by Oil and Gas Law No. 22 of 2001, Government Regulation No. 35 of 2004 in conjunction with Government Regulation No. 34 of 2005 concerning Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities, as well as the implementing provisions of SKK Migas. The four BUMDs are PT Asri Dharma Sejahtera (ADS) as the BUMD of Bojonegoro Regency, PT Petrogas Jatim Utama Cendana (PJUC) as the BUMD of East Java Province, PT Blora Patragas Hulu (BPH) as the BUMD of Blora Regency, and PT Sarana Patra Hulu Cepu (SPHC) as the BUMD of Central Java Province. Through the BKS, these four BUMDs collectively manage the rights and obligations of the 10% PI, conduct joint supervision of operations with the Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS), and ensure that governance, lifting, and commercialisation of oil are carried out professionally so that the economic benefits of the Cepu Block can be optimised for the region.
