The Chairman of the Cepu Block Cooperation Agency (BKS) attended the Cepu JOA (Joint Operating Agreement) Q3-2025 OpCom Update Meeting organised by ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) at Wisma GKBI, Jakarta.

This meeting was an agenda to discuss OpCom management updates, as well as a moment to reflect on the 20-year journey of the Cepu Block as one of the nation's strategic energy assets. During the forum, stakeholders evaluated performance and strengthened coordination to ensure the sustainability of operations in the oil and gas field, which has made a significant contribution to Indonesia's energy security.

The Chairman of BKS Blok Cepu, Mohammad Kundori, was present along with the BKS board of directors, consisting of PT Petrogas Jatim Utama Cendana, PT Sarana Patra Hulu Cepu and PT Blora Patragas Hulu. Their presence demonstrated BKS's active role in ensuring effective coordination between partners, including the management of PT Pertamina EP Cepu and other relevant stakeholders.

The Cepu Block itself is an important milestone in national oil and gas management, with a role not only at the national level, but also for the region, particularly Bojonegoro Regency, Blora Regency, and the provinces of East Java and Central Java. The momentum of two decades of the Cepu Block serves as a reminder of the importance of synergy, transparency, and sustainability so that its benefits can continue to be felt by the community and contribute to Indonesia's energy development in the future.

About Us

BKS is a forum for collaboration between four regionally-owned enterprises (BUMD) that hold a 10% participating interest (PI) in the Cepu Block Working Area, which is regulated by Oil and Gas Law No. 22 of 2001, Government Regulation No. 35 of 2004 in conjunction with Government Regulation No. 34 of 2005 concerning Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities, as well as the implementing provisions of SKK Migas. The four BUMDs are PT Asri Dharma Sejahtera (ADS) as the BUMD of Bojonegoro Regency, PT Petrogas Jatim Utama Cendana (PJUC) as the BUMD of East Java Province, PT Blora Patragas Hulu (BPH) as the BUMD of Blora Regency, and PT Sarana Patra Hulu Cepu (SPHC) as the BUMD of Central Java Province. Through the BKS, these four BUMDs collectively manage the rights and obligations of the 10% PI, conduct joint supervision of operations with the Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS), and ensure that governance, lifting, and commercialisation of oil are carried out professionally so that the economic benefits of the Cepu Block can be optimised for the region.
