The Chairman of the Cepu Block Cooperation Agency (BKS), Mohammad Kundori, attended the Contractor Management Safety Workshop (CMSW) organised by ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL). This event was an important forum that brought together various stakeholders to strengthen the culture of safety in the oil and gas industry in the Cepu Block.

The CMSW aims to discuss best practices, share insights, and enhance collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the highest safety standards in oil and gas operations in the Cepu Block. Work safety is a key aspect that is continuously maintained and improved in every stage of operations, for the sake of safe and sustainable oil and gas production.

On this occasion, the Chairman of BKS emphasised his commitment to supporting the implementation of high occupational safety standards. He said that close cooperation between contractors, operators, and other stakeholders is essential to creating a safe and productive working environment.

‘Safety is a top priority in the oil and gas industry. Through forums such as CMSW, we can learn from each other's best practices and continue to improve safety management systems to ensure reliable and responsible operations,’ said Mohammad Kundori, Chairman of BKS.

This event was attended by representatives from various Cepu Block partners, including local government, contractors, and partner companies. Through discussions and experience-sharing sessions, it is hoped that innovations and concrete steps will emerge to improve work safety in the Cepu Block environment.

BKS, which plays a role in managing the Cepu Block Participating Interest, will continue to support work safety policies and play an active role in strengthening sustainable oil and gas industry governance in Bojonegoro.

About Us

BKS is a forum for collaboration between four regionally-owned enterprises (BUMD) that hold a 10% participating interest (PI) in the Cepu Block Working Area, which is regulated by Oil and Gas Law No. 22 of 2001, Government Regulation No. 35 of 2004 in conjunction with Government Regulation No. 34 of 2005 concerning Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities, as well as the implementing provisions of SKK Migas. The four BUMDs are PT Asri Dharma Sejahtera (ADS) as the BUMD of Bojonegoro Regency, PT Petrogas Jatim Utama Cendana (PJUC) as the BUMD of East Java Province, PT Blora Patragas Hulu (BPH) as the BUMD of Blora Regency, and PT Sarana Patra Hulu Cepu (SPHC) as the BUMD of Central Java Province. Through the BKS, these four BUMDs collectively manage the rights and obligations of the 10% PI, conduct joint supervision of operations with the Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS), and ensure that governance, lifting, and commercialisation of oil are carried out professionally so that the economic benefits of the Cepu Block can be optimised for the region.
